The board is a Goldberg sphere: 252 cells, of which 240 are hexagons and 12 are stars. Drag to spin it. Twist two fingers to turn it in place (on a computer, hold Shift and drag). Pinch or use the buttons to zoom. Drag a tile from your rack onto a cell, or tap a tile then a cell. Hold a dragged tile near the globe's edge to turn the globe. Slide a placed tile to move it, or tap it to send it back to your rack.
Premium cells never touch each other or a star, and cells of the same kind sit at least 3 steps apart (2L at least 2).
Double letter, 24 cells
3LTriple letter, 14 cells
2WDouble word, 14 cells.
★Star, 12 cells, each with 5 rays. A word can start or end on a star, or pass through it: come in on one ray and leave on any of the other 4, so it can bend there. The letter you place on a star counts double, like a 2L. A word can pass through every star it reaches, and each new pass doubles that word. Once played, a word that bends through a star is finished: letters added in a straight line from the star make a new word (a star under L with RELY bending through it, plus E after the Y, reads LYE). Gold and coral marks show which rays a word joined.
116 tiles including 5 blanks. Playing all 7 tiles in one turn adds 50. A mirror word adds 20: the main word you play has 4 or more letters and reads as an everyday word both ways, like STRESSED / DESSERTS, LIVE / EVIL or KAYAK. The game ends when the bag is empty and someone plays out, when the bag is empty and both players pass in a row, or after 6 scoreless turns in a row. Words come from a cleaned-up open word list (174,182 words, including modern words like QI, ZA, EMOJI and SELFIE). Add or block words with house rules.
Agree on these before you start. They take effect when you start a new game, and this device remembers them.

Tiles still in the bag plus your opponent's rack.
Words read in either direction on the globe, so AB also lets you play BA. Highlighted words come from your house rules.
Pass the phone. Your tiles stay hidden until you tap.
